We're back from touring the UK & Europe with The Bronx & Ladyfinger. Thanks to both bands, Greg from Suns Of Thunder and Chris. To the people of Deutschland and mainland Europe, in the immortal words of someone who's name we forgot: "You can rest assured that we'll be back again".

The Reeper 7"/download single is released on Monday 13th November so don't forget to buy it. We made a video so look out for that soon.

We'll be releasing a new single, "Reeper" from the "FLIGHT OF THE RAVEN" album on 13th November. The single will be available on 7" vinyl and download with "Number One" on the b-side. A video for "Reeper" is in the works, as usual the deathtoll will be high.

While you wait for the "Reeper" to be unleashed check out this 37-minute live video from our friend Stady's birthday party in August last year courtesy of Chris Brunner. There's some drunken mistakes and the first ever live performance of "Flight Of The Raven" as well as a rare performance of the Huey Lewis & The News/Bruce Hornsby classic "Jacob's Ladder", plus a song we ditched a long time ago called "China Lake"...

Footage of Winnebago Deal from the Truck Festival will be on ROCKFEEDBACK TV on MTV 2 Thursday night at 11pm. If you don't have MTV 2 you'll be able to see this programme on Channel 4 in October.

A new headline show in London has just been booked for 14th August at The Metro, more info on the tour page. NEW ALBUM, WD & MONDO SHOWS

The new Winnebago Deal album "FLIGHT OF THE RAVEN" is mixed and mastered. Jack Endinodid a great job and it's the best thing we've ever recorded, 15 songs in total - 14 brand new songs and a cover. Fierce Panda Records will be releasing the album in July, more info will be posted here soon. We'll be touring a lot for "Flight Of The Raven" starting in July in the UK, European dates will follow shortly after. Before all of this we have the following shows lined up:

NEW ALBUM PROGRESS REPORT

Today was another dark and rainy day in Seattle...quite fitting since it marked another day closer to the completion of our latest creation that will be next Winnebago Deal album. It began almost two weeks ago and the end is a mere raven's flight away. 14 brand new songs have near killed us and will soon be doing the same to you.

Built upon the strong foundations of alcohol and the diseased mind and captured by the masterful hand of Jack Endino, I would say this is the most insane journey so far put to tape by the "Deal". Just when it seemed we could go no further "Rex Everything" (also known by some as Nick Oliveri) entered our world of "venomization" to lay down his own brand of blood curdling vocals...the rest will soon be history. History that can only be found on the forthcoming Winnebago Deal album...so DON'T miss out!!

STUDIO UPDATE

We've nearly finished recording the new Winnebago Deal album at SoundhouseStudio in Seattle with Jack Endinoproducing, check out some studio photos here.

14 songs have been recorded for the album plus one b-side. Only a few overdubs/vocals are left to be done then we start mixing. On the seventh 12 hour day of listening to brutally loud heavy guitars through studio speakers Jack Endino was seen holding his head, saying:

"It's punishing me....PLEASE MAKE IT STOP".

NEW ALBUM NEWS

We're going to Seattle at the end of March to record the new Winnebago Deal full length album with Jack Endino, who produced our last album "Dead Gone", plus many other records you should own. Check out endino.com for a full list of records he's done. We've got more songs than we've ever had written for an album so we're picking the best ones to record.
The album will be released in the summer and we'll be touring more than we did for "Dead Gone", in more places.
Because we're recording the album sooner than we planned we won't be releasing the new mini-album (see earlier news update below) but the mini-album songs will be released either re-recorded on the full length album or as b-sides.

Don't forget we're playing in Watford on 10th March at the Railwayman's Club, directions and venue info can be found on the tour page. We'll be playing new songs so don't miss it!

We just got back from Los Angeles where we recorded our parts for the new Mondo Generator album and played some shows. Nick Raskulinecz is producing and will be finishing recording and mixing with Nick Oliveri soon. We did 11-12 songs and they all sound insane.

WINNEBAGO GENERATOR AT THE READING FESTIVAL!

Mondo Generator arranged a last minute show in the backstage area of the Reading Festival on 27th August. Nick played with The Dwarves at 5pm then we looked for somewhere to play. We were turned down by the Nokia tent where fans could sign up to play, but by 7:30 Mondo Generator was playing in the Tiscali tent in the guest area. The show was filmed so should be available on tiscali.co.uk to watch at some point. From Nick's RexMail on mondogenerator.com:

Plata O Plomo released next week in Australia

Plata O Plomo will be released in Australia on 7th February through 3 Wise Records. The Australian version includes the 7 songs on the original UK version plus "Shank Fight In M-City" and "Crib Job" plus the "Manhunt" cd-rom video.

WINNEBAGO GENERATOR!

Winnebago Deal joined Nick Oliveri onstage during his support slot for the Mark Lanegan band in Sheffield on Tuesday. They played as a 3 piece with Nick on bass and vocals and played two Mondo Generator songs - "Here We Come" and "13th Floor" (some of you may know this song as "Tension Head" from the QOTSA "Rated R" album.) Check out a video clip here. Nick also joined Winnebago Deal onstage the night before to sing Black Flag's "Fix Me".

Most sections of the website have been updated, you can now download some 30-50 second song clips from the new album "Dead Gone", go the the music page and click on the discography link. New photos have been added to the photos page, some from the Cobra video shoot and some in the miscellaneous section.
The Cobra video will be up on the video page this week as well as some other video clips.

PLATA O PLOMO AUSTRALIA RELEASE
Plata O Plomo is due to be released in Australia in October through 3 Wise Records. The mini album will contain 2 bonus tracks - "Crib Job" and "Shank Fight In M-City" plus the "Manhunt" CD-Rom video. These extra tracks were released in the UK last year on the "Manhunt" cd single.

The video for "Cobra" was shot this week and should be on your TV very soon. We can't give away the top secret plot but Rusty takes his biggest starring role so far, and above is a world exclusive behind the scenes photo.

The "Cobra" single will now be released on 13th September. The cd will include new b-sides "Two Motors" and "Save My Brain". The 7" will include "Save My Brain" and "Vigil Of Fear". The new album "Dead Gone" will be released on 27th September.

The new album is called "Dead Gone" and will be released on 20th September in the UK. The first single from the album will be "Cobra" and it's due to be released early in September with some new non-album b-sides.
A video for "Cobra" starring Rusty Needles will be made soon.

In January we will be recording a new EP, featuring some brand new songs plus some songs you may have heard us play live a long time ago. The EP will be released in March.

Apologies to anyone who turned up to see us play with Nebula at the London Garage on Thursday 11th December. We were forced to cancel when the bus we were sharing with Nebula broke down in Belgium, then when we tried to hire vans to get to the show we couldn't get across to England in time to play due to a ferry strike. We got held to ransom by the bus company for a while and eventually got back to England in the early hours of Saturday morning. Neither of the bands wanted the tour to end like this after 22 shows but there was nothing we could do about it. The London show with both Winnebago Deal and Nebula will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

The London date of the Nebula tour has been moved to the Garage in Highbury and moved from Friday 12th December to Thursday 11th December. The split 7" single with Nebula will be released on 8th December on Sweet Nothing Records. Our track is "Takin´ Care Of Business", Nebula´s track is "Strange Human".

We are supporting Turbonegro in Brighton on Saturday 1st November as part of Radio 1's One Live In Brighton week. Highlights from the show will be played on The Lock Up on the night of Monday 3rd November/morning of Tuesday 4th between 2 and 4am..

A new video clip of us playing the Thin Lizzy song "Jailbreak" with Dave Doughman from Swearing At Motorists has been posted in the video section, it's taken from the recent London Metro show. We've been editing some live footage we've collected over the last year into a video for the song Two Minute Warning, when it's finished we'll put it up on the website.

The tourdates section has been updated with the festivals we are playing and we've added a past shows section to the website. We've also added some new reviews.

We'll be doing a lot more touring this year, but for the next few weeks we're practicing new songs and recording demos. The "Manhunt" video is almost done and the b-sides are recorded, the single is due out in August so expect to see the video soon. More details about the single and other stuff will be on the website soon.

Our song "Nitro Ground Shaker" will be appearing on a compilation out on Gut Records in August. The compilation is called "Louder Than The Crowd- Independent Sounds From The UK Underground", more information can be found at www.louderthanthecrowd.com. Information on this and other releases can now be found in the releases section of this website.

We've just been confirmed to play the Reading and Leeds festivals this year. We will be playing on the Carling Stage in Leeds on Friday 22nd August and Reading on Sunday 24th August. We will also be playing at the Truck Festival in Steventon on Saturday 19th July. More info on these will be added soon.

A new video section has been added to the website, so far there's some live clips to download and we will be adding more clips all the time.

"Manhunt" looks set to be released as a single in August through Fierce Panda on cd and 7" vinyl. We've been recording b-sides this week and we'll be shooting a video on Monday.

You can listen back to our Lamacq Live Radio session (Manhunt, Whiskey Business, Two Minute Warning) and interview at the BBC Radio 1 website. Click on "listen again" and skip to about 1 hour and 10 minutes into the show to hear us. The session was recorded live in February when we recorded our Lock Up session.

We will be touring with Kinesis in June, check out the tourdates page for the dates. Thanks to everyone who came to see us on the headlining tour and thanks to (x) is greater than (y), Further and Le Neon for coming out with us.

The rest of the BBC radio session we recorded back in February will be played on Radio 1 tomorrow night (Monday 19th May). Three songs were played on The Lock Up a while back and another two will be played on Lamacq Live between 8pm and midnight.

Our hel be a free cd for the first 25 people through the door each night and for the first 50 in London. The cd will feature "Nitro Ground Shaker" from "Plata O Plomo" and songs from the other bands on the tour.

There's a feature on us in the latest issue of Rock Sound magazine and "Maximum Overdrive" from "Plata O Plomo" is on the cd that comes free with it. Also there's a review from the Burning Brides/Winnebago Deal/Swearing At Motorists London show in the latest Kerrang and a short review from the Kerrang Weekender.

This will be the last update before we go on tour, the website's been updated with the artwork from the new cd on the main page and some new photos. The newest magazine and newspaper reviews can now be found in the reviews section of the website.

Three of the songs we recorded for the BBC were played on The Lock Up on Radio 1 Monday night/Tuesday morning. You can listen back to the show here for the next few days. We've also been getting more plays by Colin Murray and John Peel on Radio 1 this week.

The Xfm John Kennedy session will be played on Tuesday night(18th March). We recorded 4 songs for the show last week and there will be a live interview. If you live outside London you can listen to Xfm on Sky Digital channel 864. More details on the Xfm website.

Look out for reviews of our cd in next week's Kerrang! and in the next Metal Hammer, Rock Sound, Terrorizer etc. There should be a piece about us in the Kerrang! that comes out on 26th March and in the next Terrorizer and maybe some other magazines.

A BUNCH OF TOUR/RADIO/PRESS NEWS...More dates have been added to the Burning Brides tour and we will be touring with The Blood Brothers from 15th March, the dates will be on the shows page in the next few days.

We've been getting played on the radio some more recently. On Radio 1 we were played 5 weeks in a row on The Rock Show and we've been getting played by Steve Lamacq, Colin Murray, John Peel and on The Lock Up. We recorded 5 songs live at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios a couple of weeks back and some of them will be played on The Lock Up on Monday night/Tuesday morning next week. The Lock Up is on between 2am and 4am. The other songs from the session will be played on Lamacq Live but we're not sure when yet. We did an interview with Steve Lamacq for his show on BBC Digital Radio 6 that was played on Saturday and he played "Two Minute Warning" from the new mini album "PLATA O PLOMO" (Out 24th March). The mini album can be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk, check the front page of this website for the link. We're recording a session for John Kennedy's Xfm show on Friday, we're not sure when it's gonna be broadcast. John Kennedy and Ian Camfield have been playing songs from the mini album on their shows and it's also been getting played on Total Rock and Music Choice (digital radio).

We're gonna have some interviews in Terrorizer, Kerrang! and Rock Sound soon, when we know which issues we'll post information on here. We got some good reviews in the latest Rock Sound and Terrorizer magazines, they will be on the website soon. We're also gonna be featured in The Independent newspaper tomorrow (Friday 7th March). This website will be updated soon before we hit the road but keep checking the message board for the latest updates.

The rescheduled tour dates with the Burning Brides and some other dates have been posted on the shows page. More bands have been added to the Kerrang! Weekender including Amen, The Hellacopters and more. Check the Kerrang! website for the latest news on the line up.

We are recording a 4 song live session for the Lock Up show (Radio 1) on Friday for broadcast at a later date and a session for John Kennedy's Xfm show in March. When we have the dates when these sessions are gonna be played we will post them on here.

More dates have been added to the shows page including the Kerrang! Weekender in April. The Burning Brides tour looks like it will be happening at the end of March/beginning of April with more dates added on this time. The dates will be posted soon.

Two songs from the mini album have already been played on the Radio 1 Rock Show ("Nitro Ground Shaker" and "Harold's Dewlaps"). You can listen back to the show and see the tracklistings at the Radio 1 website. We've now been played on that show three weeks in a row. John Kennedy has played the demo on his Xfm show and we will be recording a session for his show in March. We will also be doing an interview for Steve Lamacq's Radio 6 show soon, we're not sure when it will be played yet, though.

The Burning Brides tour has been postponed because they are supporting Audioslave on their US tour, but we've got some more good shows including one with Stone Sour at the London Astoria on 26th February and one with High On Fire in Milton Keynes. See the shows page for details.

Last week we were in London recording the mini album which is gonna be out in April on Fierce Panda Records. We recorded 7 songs, some have been heard on demos and some haven't.

Other good stuff from last week: We got a 4/5 live review with a photo in the latest issue of Kerrang (Slipknot/Nu Metal cover) and Steve Lamacq played the demo of "Takin' Care Of Business" on Lamacq Live last Monday. Also something by us was played on Xfm last week but we don't know what.

Winnebago Deal will be releasing a mini album on Fierce Panda Records in March 2003. It will include 7 songs to be recorded in January.

"Manhunt" from the latest demo was played on John Peel's show on Radio 1 on Wednesday 5th December and the Radio 1 Rock Show the night before. You can download "Manhunt" on the music page.

The demo cd is reviewed in the latest Terrorizer magazine (December issue) . It got 9/10. The cd was also listed on NME's "What's On The NME Stereo" in the 30th November issue. There's also some live/demo reviews of us on drownedinsound.com.

Listen out for "Manhunt" on BBC Radio 1 tonight. It should be played on the Rock Show which is on at 12 Midnight- 2AM (Tuesday night/Wednesday morning).

There's a FAKE Winnebago Deal playing at Gossip's in Soho tonight. The "promoter" of this gig advertised that we were playing but never asked us if we would. Since we're not playing he's created a fake Winnebago Deal. Don't be fooled by this imitation band. The only shows we are playing are the ones listed on the shows page.

Winnebago Deal will be supporting Burning Brides and Ten Benson at The Zodiac in Oxford on Saturday 30th November. A London show for November will be confirmed soon.
